Earlier I took my lunch and decided to go to Rite Aid. I wanted to grab a microwavable Mac-n-Cheese (sidenote: I'm limited with eating places cuz one, I gave up fast food for lent. And second, my work is in the middle of abandoned buildings and turkeys, hens, mountain lions, foxes, deer, etc. so you can imagine the variety of restaurants we have, riiight? That's a whole other post!) Anyways, while waiting in line to purchase my mighty meal, I saw this:
This is a paperback of LIFE: The Classic Collection. LIFE magazine has to be one of the most well known magazine ever, especially popular for highlighting "photojournalism". Their goal was to illustrate a story more with images rather than a paragraph upon paragraph of text. When scanning through past magazines, you can't help but admit that they accomplished this goal perfectly. In this particular collection, it gathers the most remembered photos ever published in the magazine. The "V-J Day" photo is also apart of this collection along with other amazing photos. I put 10 on it that you'll recognize at least ONE of these photos. Once I get my very own coffee table, a hardcover edition of this book will be sitting right on the top.
