I'm very easily fascinated with "Old Hollywood(land)". Must be the style and fashion of "Old Hollywood Glamour" and the mysterious and eerie events that occurred during this era. After watching movies like "Black Dahlia", "Hollywoodland" and "Changeling"...it makes me wanna go to the library and read up on all articles relating to these events. It scares me shitless but I'm so damn curious.
With all this interest in "Old Hollywood", my latest vision of my wedding would have an "Old Hollywood Glamour" motif behind it. Laced wedding dress with the waved hair, being escorted in a classic Rolls Royce Phantom, a ballroom with beautiful antique chandeliers hanging from above, a full swing band playing the best jazz music, overflowing glasses of the best bubbly, the guys (and girls?) smoking the most potent cigars (outside tho homies)....yeah you get the point right?
But as I find myself going to present day Hollywood(land), all I can think of are the bomb ass bacon-wrapped hot dogs after a hardy night partying at the club. Geeez, what a way to lose its true essence.
Beauties of "Old Hollywood":
Greta Garbo
Ava Gardner
Mae West
"You only live once, but if you do it right, once is enough"
"When choosing between two evils, I always like to try the one I've never tried before"
"I'll try anything once, twice if I like it, three times to make sure"
"I'm no model lady. A model's just an imitation of the real thing"
"A dame that knows the ropes isn't likely to get tied up" (my fave!)
